Historical Society

The Heritage Commission was created under RSA 673:1(II), 674:44-b and is an advisory commission to assist the town of Milton in historic preservation and is design to be a resource for local boards and commissions. 

The Heritage Commission had one kick off meeting in 2020, but due to this year’s pandemic did not have any follow up meetings.  During this meeting the commission discussed its purpose and some of the town’s historical properties that need repair or restoration.  The Town Pound and Plummer School House were discussed as future projects for the commission to work on.

The commission hopes to get back on track this coming year and will plan to meet the second Monday of every month at 6:00 PM.
